Moorland School prides itself on being an academically non selective school, as our ethos is about celebrating an individual's strengths, whilst building confidence and recognising areas which require development. Moorland School achieved a 100% pass rate, 6 A* to C including English and Mathematics in 2010 and our results are consistently above 90% 5 A* to C. This has been achieved through ensuring that good behaviour, hard work and a positive attitude from the pupils works in unison with our excellent teaching team who create the ideal learning environment where all children feel safe, happy and motivated. By adopting this approach and ethos in school we support all students to achieve their true learning potential.

In May 2011 Moorland School appointed their new Admissions Manager Ms Emma Hodgkinson. Ms Hodgkinson is a former pupil of Moorland School, and as such is extremely passionate about Moorland, especially in regards to the welfare, happiness and quality of education which is provided to our children.

Hopefully I will be able to discuss life at Moorland with you, and answer any questions or concerns that or your children may have. Choosing a school is a massive decision for you as a family, and we realise that this represents a significant long-term financial commitment for parents to make. However ultimately we believe that our children should choose us, as true success should always be measured through happiness, and this is why we allow children to have taster weeks, so that they can truly make an informed decision to see whether life at Moorland School is for them.
