Moorland School prides itself on being an academically non selective school, as our ethos is about celebrating an individual's strengths, whilst building confidence and recognising areas which require development. Moorland School achieved a 100% pass rate, 6 A* to C including English and Mathematics in 2010 and our results are consistently above 90% 5 A* to C. This has been achieved through ensuring that good behaviour, hard work and a positive attitude from the pupils works in unison with our excellent teaching team who create the ideal learning environment where all children feel safe, happy and motivated. By adopting this approach and ethos in school we support all students to achieve their true learning potential.

Moorland School would like to formally welcome Mr Carl Lightbown, into our community, Mr Lightbown joined Moorland In September 2012 as Admissions Manager.

Mr Lightbown is extremely passionate about Moorland School and the children within our care. I know that he will work tirelessly to ensure that the children feel safe, happy and confident whilst at school.
