International Ballet Academy
The International Ballet School Programme is a partnership between parents, students and Moorland School. Our promise as professionals, is to equip students with an outstanding Ballet Programme of study, whilst ensuring they are both safe, happy and growing in confidence.
We ask parents to work with the school in partnership, respecting our professional judgement and guidance. We ask students to make a promise to listen and work hard academically, artistically and socially, showing respect to staff and their peers.
A ballet dancer needs many years of training and students who choose to dedicate their life to dance must find inspirational teachers.
Ballet is a challenging and exciting art form with so much more to be learnt than sheer technical accomplishments, artistry needs nurturing and individualism encouraged.
Moorland International Ballet Academy faculty are committed to providing the best holistic structured training possible to help students reach their potential, thus affording them the opportunity to turn their dreams into reality.
The technique of classical ballet is learned and perfected in a highly structured daily regime of classroom work delivered by experienced professionals. It is here that technique is maintained, strengthened and constantly refined.
Classes are conducted so that they are physically beneficial and instructive providing objective and constructive criticism regarding technique and artistry. We encourage self-discovery and nurture the development of each student’s unique artistic qualities. Students thrive on the positive and inspiring atmosphere created by the motivated faculty who value the importance of confidence and happiness.

Great Dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.
