We have high hopes for our U12 squad this season.  Our U12 squad are entered into Lancashire Cup, ISFA Cup and ESFA Trophy competitions in 2018 -2019.  The majority of the games for U12 are either contested as 7-A-Side or 9-A-Side matches.  Coach Jackson and his coaching team have a bright and talented group to choose from including some talent from Manchester City and Manchester United Academy sides respectively.  We look forward to a fruitful season for our U12 boys in 2018 – 2019.

2018 – 2019 promises to be an exciting season for our U13 squad.  Indeed, we hope to see the U13 boys involved at the business end of the season across the different tournaments (Lancashire Cup & ESFA Trophy).  Our U13 squad will be competing against other schools in 11-A-Side tournament football this season.  The U13 squad are made up of technical footballers, whose DNA is permeated with the Moorland Football Academy mantra of pass and move football.

The Moorland U14 boys are well-drilled in the traditions of Moorland’s passing and attacking brand of football.  The squad for 2018 – 2019 contains a healthy blend of local and international players, all vying for a starting berth in Mr Jackson’s starting XI.  Alike the other age categories, our U14 squad will compete on three fronts this season in Lancashire, ISFA & ESFA Cup action.  Within the squad we have 3 signed Blackburn Rovers Academy players for the upcoming season.  Fingers crossed for a successful year!

Our U15 squad for 2018 – 2019 are largely made-up of last season’s regional and national champions U14 squad.  2017 – 2018 proved to be an incredible and remarkable year for the boys as they swept aside all before them to become Lancashire Cup and ESFA Cup champions.  An inspirational year was completed in swashbuckling style with a string of stylish and polished performances that saw the boys lift both regional and national titles.  Among the class of 2018 – 2019 are a number of signed Academy players who perfectly complement our Moorland Academy boys and their style of play.  Huge things are expected again this season.

The squad have also been entered into the LSFA and ISFA Competitions for the upcoming 2018/19 season. The squad is looking to build on last seasons success in all competitions especially the LSFA Cup where we reached the Semi Final. The squad which is led by Jones and Finch pride their teams style of play with attacking principles, looking to build from the back and retaining possession to create goal scoring opportunities. The squad has a nice blend of youth and experience combining local with international players from China, Hong Kong, USA, Vietnam, Dubai, Russia and UK. Many players within this group have experienced college football at this standard last season and also experienced the opportunity to play at local semi-professional level with our links across clubs in the North West of England.
