Moorland School are so proud our of students, parents and staff for all the support they have offered during the schools bid to raise donations for Children’s Hospital Pyjamas. With all our fundraising and donations we have been able to provide more than 30 pairs of pyjamas in varying sizes and ages for those in need! Children’s Hospital Pyjamas will distribute these to support less fortunate children in Hospitals, Hospices, School Hospital Teams and Women’s refuges.
The children at the school bravely took part in our (slightly poorly timed) pyjama day; turning up to school in a wide range of onesies and pyjama based outfits! Some even managing to combine dressing up as their favourite characters through their pyjamas! The children all had an excellent day with students across all age groups getting involved. With the additions of donations raised from this day we were able to contribute another 10 additional pairs from the wishlist on top of the physical donations we kindly received from students and parents.
Children’s Hospital Pyjamas are a UK based charity, who collect donations of brand new pyjamas, from the public, which are then donated to Hospitals, Hospice’s, School Hospital Teams and Women’s refuges up and down the country. These are then given to poorly or less fortunate children who are inpatients.
No child wants to be in a hospital, but if they have to be, they do not want to be wearing a hospital gown. ALL children who are inpatient’s in our receiving hospitals, for whatever reason, will be gifted a brand new pair of comfy pyjama’s.
The Pyjamas are donated and sent with love, so that each child who receives a pair, knows that someone is wishing them a speedy recovery and is thinking of them.
The support shown for this great cause is heart warming and as part of the Moorland Family we cannot thank you enough.
