3 National Finals!!

Come on Moorland!!

May marks a significant milestone for Moorland Football Academy, as three of our teams gear up for national finals! While success is nothing new for our academy, this occasion stands out as a first, even for our ‘overachieving’ school.

On Tuesday May 7th, we’ll witness two finals unfold: firstly, our under 11’s team, fresh from their regional triumph, will journey to St James Park to compete for the national title against other regional champions. Whilst our under 16’s team will face off against Priory Academy in the ESFA National Final at Stoke City.

Later in the month, on May 20th, our Moorland Under 12’s squad will clash with St John’s in the ESFA Final at West Brom.

It’s an exciting time for our academy, and we’re eager to see our teams shine on the national stage!

To reach these finals for our small school is an incredible achievement. We have some incredible players, but more so, the way that they gel as teams is a privilege to witness. We have had some incredibly difficult times at Moorland over the past month – seeing how these students have come together on and off the pitch has been so admirable. I’m sure that every player will be giving 110% in the finals.
