Joe, handed the number 35 shirt, started the game and played the full 90 minutes in Rovers fine 4-1 win over Lincoln City in the EFL Cup.
It is testament that Joe is held in very high esteem by Rovers Manager Tony Mowbray, and underlines the progress he has made since leaving Moorland following his GCSE studies.
We are all super proud of Joe and his exploits!
As Joe’s father Simon Grayson also played for Rovers during his distinguished career, it means that this is the first time since 1929 that a father and son have both played for Rovers first team!
Joe has already received rave reviews for his performance, and the fact that he played the full 90 minutes supports how well he played.
It was a great night as Rovers romped home 4-1 under the Ewood lights. Well done Joe!!!
