As a non-selective independent school, we enrol children based upon their behaviour which allows us to ensure that all children learn in a happy environment.
Children are fully assessed when they join Moorland to help us identify any educational differences or special requirements for individual learning styles. We also aim to identify all areas of strength within students. This allows us to deliver teaching that allows each student to reach their academic potential.

Year 3 and Year 4 took a trip to Tesco in Clitheroe as part of their geography topic, ‘Where Our Food Comes From’. 🗺️
They explored food packaging to find out which countries different products are grown in, and also searched for Fairtrade logos. 🍌
It was a super fun morning—with an extra chilly stop in the freezer aisles! 🥶

Yesterday was an amazing day for our Reception Class! 🌟
We put on our superhero capes (well, they were just our bright vests!) and set out to help our wonderful community in Clitheroe by picking up litter 🦸♂️🦸♀️
With every piece of rubbish we picked up, we made our streets cleaner and happier for everyone! 🚮
It felt so good to see our beautiful town sparkle and shine! ✨
Plus, we learned how important it is to take care of the Earth, so plants and animals can be healthy too! 🌼🐦
A big thank you to everyone who joined us! Together, we can keep Clitheroe a lovely place to play and explore! 💖🌍

🌿✨ Wild Ones Forest School Adventure Alert! ✨🌿
What a fantastic afternoon we had exploring the wonders of nature! We stumbled upon a treasure trove of elderflower blooming on one of our school trees 🌼
We picked those fragrant flowers and brewed up a delightful floral tea, adding in some colorful chopped fruits and a touch of sweet orange honey 🍊🍯
Some of our little chefs couldn’t get enough of it, while others... well, let’s just say their taste buds are still on the fence! 😄
After our tea-tasting adventure, we split into three teams for a super fun game of sensory tracking! 🕵️♂️👃👀
The children had a fantastic time using their senses to find each other in the wild, giggles filling the air as they navigated the great outdoors.
Nature and fun truly go hand in hand! 🌳
We can’t wait for our next Wild Ones adventure! ✨

Year 3 & 4 thoroughly enjoyed spending time in a new and calming environment, which made the experience feel extra special. ☺️
It was wonderful to see their excitement as they discovered new stories and shared their favourites with friends. 🤍

Be Confident in Choosing Your Child's Education
We believe every child has the right to a high standard of education which is why we are academically non-selective. We select students based on their behaviour and personal attributes and combine this with a dedicated teaching and pastoral team. We strive to educate your child to the highest academic level, whilst ensuring they stay grounded.
We want you to feel confident in choosing Moorland to educate your child, which is why we operate an ‘open door’ policy with regard to parental visits. Our dedication to education is reflected in our students’ success.
