As a non-selective independent school, we enrol children based upon their behaviour which allows us to ensure that all children learn in a happy environment.
Children are fully assessed when they join Moorland to help us identify any educational differences or special requirements for individual learning styles. We also aim to identify all areas of strength within students. This allows us to deliver teaching that allows each student to reach their academic potential.

🌟 Huge congratulations to our Moorland Junior School superstar, Lachlan, who has earned his place in the Manchester City Advanced Group! ⚽️💙
Lachlan, one of our wonderful Reception pupils, has been a fabulous addition to our school family – always happy, hardworking and showing real talent both on and off the pitch.
Lachlan trains during the school day three times a week with our fabulous and talented partners @soccer_hq_ All of our football academy pupils train with them, with no additional costs – making elite coaching part of everyday school life.
His mum shared that sending Lachlan to Moorland was “the best decision she’s ever made”-we couldn’t agree more. We’re so proud of you, Lachlan, and can’t wait to see what the future holds! 💫👏

From Greece to Spain and Italy to beyond, our children travelled across Europe today – making homemade pasta, tasting delicious cuisines, crafting flags, playing Olympic Games and even recreating the Mona Lisa! 🎨✨🇫🇷 🇬🇷 🇪🇸 🇮🇹
Each country was chosen to celebrate the cultures and heritage of children in our school, making the day even more special. 💛
A huge thank you to all our visitors who joined us for our Open Day – it was a wonderfully busy day showcasing our school.

This week, our Year 1 and 2 pupils have been using Base 10 resources to explore numbers through tens and ones - an essential step in building strong place value understanding.
By learning to see numbers in parts, children develop the confidence to count, compare and build numbers - setting them up for long term success in maths. 💡🧮

We believe every child has the right to a high standard of education which is why we are academically non-selective. We select students based on their behaviour and personal attributes and combine this with a dedicated teaching and pastoral team. We strive to educate your child to the highest academic level, whilst ensuring they stay grounded.
We want you to feel confident in choosing Moorland to educate your child, which is why we operate an ‘open door’ policy with regard to parental visits. Our dedication to education is reflected in our students’ success.
