At Moorland Junior School, we believe every child should leave us feeling confident, well prepared and ready for their next adventure. We do not use SATs examinations; instead, we assess our pupils through a comprehensive bank of internal assessments, allowing us to track progress carefully and build a detailed picture of each child’s individual strengths and areas for development. Our pupils consistently achieve results above those expected for their age, reflecting both their hard work and the quality of teaching and support they receive.

Our leavers go on to a wide range of schools, carefully chosen to meet their individual needs, interests and aspirations. This year, pupils progressed a range of schools including Bowland High School, Giggleswick School, Stonyhurst College and QEGS Blackburn.

Wherever their next step takes them, we are proud to see our children leave Moorland as confident, capable and enthusiastic learners, ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.
