Our Christmas events started with our Year 7 group giving speeches on their Christmas traditions during our senior assembly. We were all delighted to see how much their confidence has grown throughout the autumn term, and look forward to hearing what they have been doing when they return in January.  [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][vc_column_text]We started our final week of term with our annual Christmas lunch, provided by our fantastic catering team. Staff and students alike tucked into a Turkey lunch, complete with all the trimmings.

On Wednesday, we were delighted to be welcomed back to St Mary’s Church by Reverend Andy Froud for our carol service. The students from all year groups gave renditions of Silent Night, Away In A Manger, and Oh Come All Ye Faithful. After practicing for weeks, the amazing infant students performed a nativity called Whoops-A-Daisy Angel for the rest of the Moorland Family to enjoy, and from the angels to Mary and Joseph- they all did a brilliant job!

Thursday saw one of the biggest days of term for our junior children, it was their moment to showcase their hard work with their spin on the traditional nativity… Straw and Order! The juniors gave a fantastic performance, the students and teachers really enjoyed watching their show. We were all delighted to see the judge’s verdict and for all the animals to be brought back together! [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][vc_column_text]On Friday our students took part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day…from sparkles to reindeers and elves, all the students enjoyed the excitement of the final day before the Christmas break.

We want to give thanks to our incredible teaching staff across all areas of our school for all their hard work in making the week extra Christmassy for all of us.

From all the Moorland family, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to having all our students back with us in 2022 for another prosperous and happy year at Moorland School.  [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
